Hi guys,
I’m sure you’re all aware I got a tattoo, and I’m sure it might look dumb to some of you, but it’s not dumb to me, and this is why.
My grandmother was 95, and the day of her birthday, she was sick, and we thought nothing of it, people get sick. Two days after her birthday, she called my mom at 1:00 in the morning saying she was calling an ambulance. She was in the hospital for two weeks, and they weren’t sure if she was going to make it. She fought through, but had to go to rehab. One of the days in rehab, she said to my mom that she was ready to die, and that broke my heart, because her and I were really close, and the thought of her leaving me was unbearable. She fought through that and was able to go home. I saw her the Saturday she came home, and yes she was sick, but she was doing okay, so I thought. So, that Monday, my dad rushed to her house, because she had to be put on a hospital bed, and I thought that she was just weak, and was going to be fine. The next day, I was getting ready to go to the lake, and I was at my Aunts, and my Mom called her house, and said “Christine, you need to come home now” as soon as she said that, I knew she died, I was just in complete denial, I walked through the door, and said “Baci died.” as a statement, because I knew she did, I was just in shock, I didn’t know what to do. Eventually I got the courage to ask my Mom more about what happened, she said Monday night she forgot everything, and I asked my mom what happened, and she thought that my mom was her mom, but when she asked her who Christine was, she said my baby, me being the only person she remembered. I then asked my mom what happened right before she died. The last thing she said was “Tell Christine I love her”. So, the rose comes from when she was buried, we had a yellow rose, with a purple ribbon tied around it and put in her hand, for her to be buried with from me. And that’s what my tattoo is about.

For anyone who was curious.
